Thank you one and all for helping make the 2011 market season the best ever! We couldn’t have done it without you. The people of Tillamoook and surrounding communities turned out for the fun, rain or shine, and we saw an average of just over 2,000 attendees every Saturday. Our vendors, over 40 in all, brought the finest that our county has to offer, from produce to baked goods to steamy barbecue. We saw many new faces, like Carlos at La Mexicana, as well as long-time pillars of the market, like Chris at Llama Mama and The Berry Lady. Folk guitarists, lounge singers, country & western musicians, and a salsa band all provided the entertainment. Local gardeners and schoolchildren even got involved, selling produce at the Community Table. With fun like this, we can’t wait until next year. See you then!

… and the first market was a smashing success! Hundreds of of happy people came out on Saturday, June 11 to enjoy the sun, fun, and good eats at the Tillamook Farmers’ Market. We’ll be there again next week with musical guests Heartroot, so come on down.

The Master Gardeners from OSU will be on hand all day to share their gardening expertise and answer your questions, and Northwest Old Iron Club will be there with antique tractors and engines. And you won’t want to miss music by the Oregon Valley Boys!
